PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS BEFORE PURCHASE:
Our Hyaluronic Elixir is considered 100% saturated, which means the formula is 1% Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and 99% water. Hyaluronic Acid is known to absorb 500-1000 times its weight in water, which makes it a very effective humectant that draws water to the skin and prevents water loss. HA plumps cells with water and adds a dose of hydration to the extracellular matrix - the space and structures, between and around, cells. Hyaluronc Acid attracts water to the skin and helps the skin hold onto that water. HA prevents transdermal water loss, increases skin's flexibility, and gives the skin cells and spongy tissues more hydration to function at their best.
Hyaluronic Acid naturally occurs in the Human body in high concentrations in the skin, umbilical cord, and the vitreous humor (part of the eye ball). Hyaluronic Acid has significant physiological and biological functions in our bodies - it plays a key role in regulating water balance and flow and acts as a lubricant, and stabilizes cellular structures such as collagen and elastin.
In 1934, Karl Meyer and John Palmer described what they called an "amino sugar" or polysaccharide from a bovine vitreous humor (part of a pig eye ball). They called this amino sugar (aka amino acid), Hyaluronic Acid.
When Hyaluronic Acid was first used, it was extracted from Rooster combs (yes, that's right, rooster combs), but now it is created by fermenting sugar. HA is found in certain bacterial strains and yeast, and when used to ferment sugar sources such as glucose, soy, and beets, Hyaluronic Acid is the result. Think of this as similar to using bacteria to ferment yogurt from milk, or wine from grapes.
There are a lot of Hyaluronic products on the market today. Here's the deal...HA is very perishable and degrades very quickly. In order to make it last for long periods of time it has to be added to a more stable base and highly preserved. Mainstream HA products are usually in a base of glycerin and petroleum and laden with chemicals and preservatives to lengthen shelf-life and stability; which renders the HA pretty weak.
This Hyaluronic Elixir is made in small batches and bottled when ordered. It is refrigerated and bottled when you place your order. This product is only available on our website and not in stores so that we can make sure you are receiving the most fresh product. We do not manufacture the HA ourselves but have partnered with a trusted manufacturer who uses the most minimal ingredients and natural preservation using only Citric Acid and Silver Dyhydrogen Citrate.
Hyaluronic Acid provides many benefits to the skin and for the Women (and Men) who want to add this to their skin care, we wanted to provide an accessible alternative to the mainstream chemical formulas. If you are interested in this Elixir, please note that the shelf life is roughly 4-6 months. WHICH MEANS: USE IT EVERY DAY. Don't expect it to last for months on your shelf. Use one full dropper every time you apply, and this 1oz bottle should last 2 months. As time marches on, the HA will begin to degrade and will discolor slightly and become more liquid or watery in texture. Effective degrades as the HA degrades.
DIRECTIONS: Apply one dropper onto clean, damp skin. Or, add one dropper to a pearl size dollop of Creme Nouveau; mix together and massage onto clean, damp skin. Store in cool place or refrigerate. Hyaluronic Elixir can be used by anyone who wants more hydration in their skin. Always apply a Creme or Moisturizer of your choice after applying Hyaluronic Elixir.
