Why We Make 3 Crèmes!

Why We Make 3 Crèmes!

Which one of our Crèmes is best for you?

Crème Nouveau, Crème Calm, or Crème Balance?

We love all of our cremes equally,
but one may be better for you than another!

Curious? Read on!

CRÈME NOUVEAU

Crème Nouveau is our Crème de la Crème for facial moisture.  It is rich and buttery, and packed full of oils and nutrients that are known to hydrate, nourish, and boost glow! It doubles as a day and night cream, and is also for your eye area, neck, and decollate.

It is our most nourishing, most rich-textured crème, and has one amazing benefit that may really surprise you! Crème Nouveau's key ingredient is a natural sulfur called MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) that over time will melt congestion from pores and reduce acne in many cases.

CREME NOUVEAU IS FOR YOU IF:

You are looking for "anti-aging" (although we prefer the word "preserve-aging" because we respect aging and the life that comes with it!). If you are looking for rich moisture and radiance. If your powder looks too "powdery." If your skin's thirst is insatiable.

CRÈME CALM

Crème Calm is our Crème for the most sensitive skin, OR if Crème Nouveau is just a little too rich.  Most people with sensitive skin fair quite well with Crème Nouveau, but Crème Calm is for the super sensitive. Its focus is calming, soothing, and nourishing with a blend of lightweight oils. It has minimal ingredients with optimal results to give sensitive skin a rest.

Crème Calm doubles as a day and night cream, and is also for your eye area, neck, and decollate.

CREME CALM IS FOR YOU IF:

You are looking for rich moisture and radiance, but Crème Nouveau is too rich. If your skin is super sensitive and prone to redness and irritation. If you are going through extra stressful life circumstances that are causing your skin to be in a state of high anxiety, or what we call sensitized (what our brain is going through shows up through our skin because all of our cells are connected).

CRÈME BALANCE

Crème Balance is our lightest-weight moisturizer, and more consistent with a lotion texture.  It is the perfect option for younger skins starting their skincare career, or anyone who prefers a lightweight lotion experience.

Crème Balance contains Passionflower Extract which is an antioxidant known to reduce stress in the skin, and is known to relax hormone related breakouts.  Allantoin is derived from the comfrey leaf and accelerates healing from breakouts.  Raspberry seed oil is ultra lightweight, absorbs quickly, is non-greasy, and is a powerhouse for fighting inflammation.  Jasmine Sambac is a coveted essential oil known for its gorgeous scent, but it is also soothing and calming.

Crème Balance doubles as a day and night cream, and is also for your neck and decollate. We do suggest pairing it with a 10ml jar of Crème Nouveau to use as your Eye Cream.

CREME BALANCE IS FOR YOU IF:

You prefer a lightweight lotion.  If you are less than 25ish years of age and just getting started with skincare.  If your skin is dry in some areas and more oily in others.  If you have active breakouts and want to work up to Crème Nouveau.  If you want a pump bottle option for your gym or travel bag

INDUSTRY SECRET: Many mainstream luxury skin care companies often use the word crème to refer to their moisturizers that have the thickest consistency (and the biggest price tag). Unfortunately, many of them are thickened up with petroleum bases and their value doesn't match their price.

For example:

CHANEL's Sublimage la Crème 1.7 oz jar is $420 and the first 10 ingredients are: Water, Glycerin, Octydodecanol, Jojoba seed oil (thank goodness!), Squalane (aka unedible olive oil), Cetearyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Canola Oil (goodness gracious, canola oil?!), C13-16 Isoparaffin (what candles are made out of), and Butylene Glycol. The caboose of the list is Red No. 4, Yellow No. 6, and Yellow No. 5.

LA MER'S Crème de la Mer 2.0 oz jar is $380 and the main base ingredients of the creme are Algae Extract, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum (white petroleum), Glycerin, Isohexadecane,  and Microcrystalline Wax, with a caboose of preservatives at the end including Benzyl Salicylate, Benzyl Benzoate, Sodium Benzoate, Alcohol Denat., Fragrance (Parfum).

Crème Nouveau Ingredients: Kokum butter, Shea butter, Apricot Kernel oil, Grape Seed oil, Organic Glycerin (plant based); Oils of: Babassu, Argan, Black Currant, Baobab, Borage, Camelia, Primrose, Kukui , Meadowfoam, & Rosehips; Local Raw Bees Wax, Extracts of: Arnica, Cranberry, Comfrey, Green Tea, Olive Leaf, Rosehip, & Sea Kelp; Allantoin, Camu Camu Fruit, Acerola Berry, MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane - a natural sulfur to help clear pores); and Essential Oils of: Rosewood, Palmarosa, Elemi, Helichrysum, & Chamomile.

JUST, FYI 😊.
